What are the benefits of WizzPass?

Instead of taking a parking ticket and then later going to the pay station, you can now just use your WizzPass App to enter and exit the parking lot – it’s cashless, ticketless and convenient. No stress about losing your ticket or not having the required amount of cash to pay for parking. No more waiting in queues or dealing with faulty pay stations. WizzPass is the most convenient way to park.

How do I download WizzPass?

WizzPass is available on both Android and iOS. Search your phone’s App Store for the WizzPass App, or visit the home page of the WizzPass website for links to the Apple Store and Google Play.

How do I pay for my parking?

Once you have exited the parking area, the parking tariff is calculated and the amount due is securely deducted securely off your registered bank card. This is done automatically and does not require any action from you.

Will the WizzPass App work if there is no Internet connection?

Yes, WizzPass does not require an Internet connection to open the boom. You only need an Internet Connection when you are validating your parking session, or when you are updating your account details.

Will it work on my phone?

WizzPass is available for Apple smartphones and all smartphones that use the Android operating system.

How much will WizzPass cost me?

WizzPass is completely free for users to download and use. There is no monthly subscription charge. You only pay for parking sessions where a parking fee applies, and these rates are determined by each individual parking area. You will not get charged extra for using WizzPass, unless it is explicitly stated to you on the WizzPass App before you enter a certain parking area.

How much data is required to operate the app?

No Internet is required to operate the app, which means no data is required. There is no need to even have your Internet connection turned on when using WizzPass to open the boom. You only need an Internet Connection when you are validating your parking session, or when you are updating your account details.

Using WizzPass

Where can I use WizzPass?

You will know that you can use WizzPass to open the boom if you see the WizzPass Lane Code on or near the parking boom where you drive in.

What do I do at the entrance and exit?

At entry, open the WizzPass App and a keypad will immediately appear. Enter the WizzPass Lane Code found on the ticket dispenser or on the boom, and the boom immediately opens. When you leave, go straight to your car, drive to the exit boom, and enter the Lane Code for the exit boom. When a parking fee applies, the payment is automatically calculated and deducted from your bank card. You will immediately be notified of the payment amount.

What if my phone battery dies?

You will need to re-charge your phone to be able to use the App. If you entered with WizzPass, and then your phone dies before you exited, just go to the lost ticket office where you will find a WizzPass phone re-charge station. Simply recharge your phone and then proceed to the exit.

Can I make use of parking validation with WizzPass?

Yes, you can still validate your parking with WizzPass at selected retailers, membership clubs, and events. Proceed to the validation desk and open the WizzPass App and scan the QR code found at the desk. The WizzPass App will then tell you that your parking-session has been validated (internet is required for this). Then proceed to the exit as normal.

Payment options

What bank cards are supported by WizzPass?

WizzPass works with all MasterCard or Visa cards. When you add your card details to your WizzPass account, it automatically tests the card details and produces an error message if the card is not supported.

Can I use my debit card as a payment method on WizzPass?

If the debit card is a MasterCard or Visa card, has a CVV number on the back and is enabled for online payments, then it will work with WizzPass. Please note that many banks automatically disable debit cards for online payments, so you may need to contact your bank’s card division to enable it.

Can I register more than one bank card on my WizzPass Account?

Yes, there is no limit on the number of cards you can register. You then just have to select which one you want to be charged with. To add a new card, make sure you have the most recent version of the App installed and Select Menu > Payment > Add payment and add your new card details.

How do I update my payment or card information?

To update the current payment information select Menu > Payment > click on the saved card, and then click edit.

Alternatively you can add a new bank card. Select Menu > Payment > Add payment and add your new card details.

What is an Authorisation Hold?

In order to verify your payment method, we may issue a small authorization hold of R1 to your card. This amount is never actually charged to your account, but you may see it as “pending”. All authorization holds are voided within a few business days, depending on your bank’s policy. We issue authorization holds as a way to better protect against fraud that may result from unauthorized card usage.

If I was charged incorrectly, what then?

You can access your parking transaction history in the WizzPass App. Go to the menu and click on “History”. You will also receive a parking receipt via email for each of your WizzPass parking sessions. If you believe your parking tariff was charged incorrectly, please email us on support@wizzpass.com and we will investigate on your behalf and get back to you within 2 business days.


How do I update my account information?

To update any information on your account, Select Menu > Settings > Edit Account. Edit your information and then click “Save updates”.

How do I reset my password?

If you need to reset your passqord, click the ‘Forgot Password’ link on Login. We will send you an email with a secure link where you can reset your password.

What do I do if my account is suspended?

If your account requires additional verification, it may be suspended. As a result, you’ll be unable to sign into your account and use WizzPass. If your account has been suspended, please send a email to support@wizzpass.com and we will get back to you within 2 business days.

How do I delete my account?

Don’t forget, there are no subscription fees with WizzPass. You’ll only be ever be charged if you use WizzPass to enter or exit a paid-parking area, so there’s no harm in keeping your account just in case you’d like to use WizzPass again in the future.

To delete your account data, please send an email to support@wizzpass.com. Your personal information along with your payment methods will be fully removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Safety & Security

Is WizzPass financially safe to use?

Yes, WizzPass does not have any access to your bank card details. All card details are stored securely by a third party payment gateway conforming to all relevant regulations and PCI Compliance safety standards.

Who has access to my information?

WizzPass uses a third party payment gateway to store and encrypt your card details. These details are never shared with anyone, nor are they stored anywhere on our systems, so no one will ever be able to get your card details from WizzPass. The payment gateway is certified as per all relevant legal obligations.

What if I lose my phone?

Don’t stress! There are many levels of security to your phone. Before even getting to the App, the thief would have to decipher your phone login, PIN number or Touch ID.  We do consider it best practice to cancel your card, as you normally would do if your card was stolen. We can also remotely deactivate your account with WizzPass. Just send an email to support@wizzpass.com and we will deactivate your WizzPass account for you.
